Task: Select three stories that reveal to you the mind of the abuser and the effects of abuse on the life of the abuser. When you have read the stories, write a short (3 to 6 paragraph) essay summarizing, comparing and contrasting the addicts’ experiences. Note personal experiences and the effects on the family relationships. How does the addict feel about the addiction now? Use the diagram below to organize your thoughts.
